Description
The Fortran model brings the Nerdy Gurdy even closer to traditionally built instruments – the modern ones, that is. The curved top plate and fully closed sides provide both improved esthetics as well as sound quality.
It has 3 melody strings, tuned D4, G3 and G4, three drones (g/c/d), and two trumpet strings (c/g). Compared to the BASIC and Linotte, it has a fuller and more modern sound with more mid-range. The silicon sleeved tangents improve the response of the keyboard. The larger keybox and wheel make it feel more robust, and give more control over chien and melody. There are capo’s on both trumpet strings (c->d and g->a), as well as on the lowest drone (g->a)
