The conical fitting of the wheel on the shaft ensures a wheel that is straight and centered, even when it is removed and re-assembled. The beech rim on the wheel can be finished to a perfect round and smooth finish.

This kit contains the parts to upgrade your Nerdy Gurdy with a metal crank.
The upgrade kit can be fit to existing Nerdy Gurdy v6 models, and probably also to the v4, although we have not tested that and give no guarantees. You need to lasercut a few dedicated parts for a new backplate yourself, for which the drawings will be provided.
The kit includes:
– Pre-assembled shaft
– Ready-made wheel with beech rim
– Metal crank
– Crank assembly parts and knob
